Sellers

To become a seller on Uzum Market, the seller must be a company (for example, LLC) or an individual entrepreneur registered in Uzbekistan. Sellers must upload relevant documents (certificate of registration, decision on director appointment, passport) when registering on the marketplace. In addition, sellers need to add Uzum Market as a commission agent on the state tax website. For branded goods, sellers must have documents that confirm their right to use the brand's trademark.

Products and commodity

Uzum Market has restrictions on product sizes and retail value to optimize logistics. Small and medium-sized goods must have maximum height of 50cm, length and width not exceeding 120cm x 80cm, and maximum weight of 50kg. Large-sized goods must have maximum height of 200cm (only exception is household appliances). Large-sized goods must be delivered in a box in disassembled form. The total retail value of goods in 1 cubic meter must be at least 5,000,000 Uzbek soums. Large items must be shipped on pallets.

Uzum Market prohibits the sale of certain categories of goods, such as counterfeit products (replicas), alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, 18+ (adult) items, pyrotechnics, X-ray equipment, drugs and pharmaceutical products, products that require special storage and transportation conditions, such as car batteries, tires, mirrors, doors, windows, and construction materials, and a number of other commodities. Shipping prohibited goods to Uzum Market shall be fined.

Products should be packaged so that they do not get damaged in transit. A seller shall be responsible for damage due to insufficient packaging. Electronics should be shipped in their original packaging with the seals intact. Appliances with sharp edges, like blenders, should be packaged with bubble wrap so they cannot damage other products.

If a product belongs to the category of mandatory certification, Uzum Market or a customer may request certification documents. The seller must provide these documents within 3 working days of the request.

Tariffs and charges

Uzum Market charges a commission on each sale, which varies depending on the product category. The percentage of commission ranges up to 35% of the products's retail price. In addition to the sales commission, Uzum Market charges a logistics fee that depends on the size and price of the product. The logistics fee is 20,000 Uzbek soums for large-sized products, 8,000 Uzbek soums for medium-sized products, 2,000-6,000 Uzbek soums for small-sized goods.

Storage at the Uzum Market warehouse is free for the first 30 days for new SKUs. After 30 days, a seller shall be charged storage fees for products with low turnover or no sales for the past 60 days. Storage fees depend on the size of the product and are charged daily. It is 30 Uzbek soums per day/unit for small-sized goods, 60 Uzbek soums per day/unit for medium-sized goods, 300 Uzbek soums per day/unit for large-sized goods.

New products on Uzum Market shall be sent to a photo studio for a fee. The fee for the photo studio is per SKU. Product photography costs 12,000 Uzbek soums, model photography costs 25,000 Uzbek soums, a render costs 6,000 Uzbek soums.

Fulfillment

Uzum Market offers two fulfillment options. Under Fulfillment by Uzum Market (FBO), a seller sends products to Uzum Market's warehouse, and they handle the storage, picking, packing, and shipping of orders to customers. Under Fulfillment by Seller (FBS), a seller stores products in its own warehouse, packs and ships orders to Uzum Market's distribution center. Uzum Market then delivers the orders to customers. Uzum Market shall compensate a seler for lost or damaged products caused by negligence. The compensation process takes 81 days from the date of a written claim.

A seller can deliver the products itself, send an employee, or use a third-party logistics provider. Uzum Market does not handle unloading or loading. The seller can ship products to the warehouse immediately after creating a product listing. The seller can send mixed boxes with different SKUs, but the products need to be sorted by SKU. There should be no more than 35 SKUs per pallet. Barcodes must be glued to all products.

Product listing

When creating product listings, sellers must adhere to the following requirements. All product information must be entered in both Uzbek (latin) and Russian (cyrillic). The product listing must accurately reflect the product and its characteristics. Listings may not include words such as "sale", "new", "hit", "copy", "original", "China", "discounts", "promotion", "guarantee", "cheap", "free", "profitable", "buy", "trend". Listings may not include information about product reviews, personal contact information, links to other websites.

Product titles must include the type of product, the brand, the model, and a key characteristic. Sellers must include a short description of the product, in 1-2 sentences. The product properties section should include the product's key characteristics, such as materials, size, age restrictions, country of origin, power, composition, and warranty. Sellers must enter the product price, including VAT, and can optionally enter a discount amount.

Product return

Customers can return products for various reasons, including if the product does not match the description, the order is incomplete, or the product is defective. Customers may return products of good quality within 10 days as long as the product has not been used, damaged, or removed from its packaging. Products in proper condition shall be returned to the warehouse and be available for sale again.

Defective products (including products that cannot be returned after going to the photo studio) shall not be returned to inventory. Defective products must be picked up from the warehouse within 30 days of being returned by the customer. The seller can pick up defective products from the warehouse or have Uzum Market dispose of them. The seller may also need to return products from the warehouse if the product has been blocked due to non-compliance with Uzum Market's requirements or the product's expiration date is approaching.
